PC Gamers Are Tired Of Console Ports

Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 is a vivid example of how pc gamers are being disrespected out of exclusive pc features. When Infinity Ward announced that they would not include dedicated servers in Modern Warfare 2 geeks all across the net were united and loud in denouncing the decision. A group was formed to boycott the game, while many held true most didn’t and went ahead and bought the game.

Sales were extremely good for the pc version of MW2 and that success might tend to tell Activision that PC gamers will buy what they are given, no matter what. I hope that isn’t the case, but at the end of the day they are a company trying to make a profit for their share holders. My guess is that PC gamers merely accepted what they were given because it was that or nothing.

The PC gaming community comprises of so many different types of people that maintaining any kind of real solidarity is simply impossible. Although if the voices are loud enough then the adage that the squeaky wheel gets the oil will hold true and some changes will happen.

One other constant in the complaint department is the lack of customized features solely for PC versions of games. Modern Warfare 2 was essentially the exact same game on the PC as it was on the consoles. The PC version looked the best but other than that it was the same game. One thing that was particularly troublesome was that the PC version had the same player limit in online matches as the consoles. I fully understand why you would need to do that for the Xbox 360 but I do not get why the pc version had to carry the same limitation.

It’s time for pc gamers to demand better, to effectively “vote” for the kinds of features we want with our dollars. Buy games that are PC specific or at least provide features that consoles don’t have because the PC isn’t as limited as the Xbox 360 or PS3 hardware wise.

A No Nonsense Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard Review

An inclination for the desktop PC user today is to get hold of a Bluetooth wireless keyboard. In fact, I work with a laptop exclusively and I once in a while prefer to use my Bluetooth keyboard with it, for comfort and ease of use when compared to the laptop keyboard, which is a bit restricting.

Why bother with a Bluetooth keyboard?

Bluetooth technology is able to broadcast a signal of over 10 meters distance. Wireless keyboards in general run on battery power and are fairly heavy in their consumption, merely because they are generally used a lot of the time. With this in mind its best to get the rechargeable type batteries.

What about the capabilities of the Bluetooth wireless keyboard?

Why Bluetooth and not just go for infra-red ? Bluetooth is now a universal standard for today’s computers, and its very easy to connect up multiple devices together, as we know.

The primary reason why Bluetooth is so much better is that infra-red utilizes radio signals, consequently it experiences a great deal of interference, and it is very limited in it’s range capacity.

The physical size

I know what the average working area is like, papers scattered everywhere, cables, mouse pads. With smaller keyboards, this brings a lot more free rein and a neater office!

Hot-keys

Hot-Keys are buttons on the wireless keyboard that you tap once to open certain repeated use programmes on your computer. They’re amazingly handy.

Simply down to the advancement in battery life and advances in networking via wireless technology, one day soon every single thing that needs a communication pathway to your computer (and back again) will be wireless.

Let’s take a brief moment and check out one of the hottest Bluetooth wireless keyboards that is on the market right now which is getting some very good reviews from buyers.

Rocketfish – Bluetooth Keyboard RF-ABTKB (can be used for PC or Apple) Technical Details – Bluetooth-enabled keyboard with a wireless range up to thirty feet – Impressing low profile keyboard with great bounce back that’s built for fast typing – One-touch access to multimedia functions – Three-month battery life on 2 AA batteries included (not a long life really but get the rechargeable batteries and save yourself lots of visits to the local shop for new batteries) A buyer of the Rocketfish – Bluetooth Keyboard RF-ABTKB had this to say about their keyboard… I had some headaches initially with the Rocketfish – Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard and I had to re-sync it. Other than this, it works fabulously well- very fluid to the touch, which I adore. Its got keys suited to both the PC and to the Mac, so best of both worlds, you could say. Over-all a crazy buy and ten out of ten from me! After solving the teething issues, I fell in love with this keyboard. It’s just so smooth gliding my fingers over the keys.

Satellite Broadband-The Best There Is

Maybe you are one of the unfortunate people who do not have high speed internet. If you are using dial up, then you already know that it is impossible to get a lot done when using this type of connection. It takes some time just to get connected to the internet using dial up, and even then you may lose your connection. If you are fortunate enough to maintain your connection, you still have to deal with slow speeds of about 30 kbps or less. With connections of this speed your time to use the internet will increase due to the long amount of time that it takes for pages to load, and then your pages may not load properly.

Dial up does not allow you to access all web pages and you can spend several unnecessary hours waiting to get the information. This connection is so slow that you will soon realize that it is virtually impossible to manage a business from home with this type of connection.

Many people have made broadband or DSL their internet connection of choice. It operates at increased speeds and is a treasure to the people who reside or work in the areas that offer it. Broadband and DSL is an amazing option for internet connection and works really well to boost the amount of work that you output and lessen the time it takes for pages to load on dial up.

If you have to make a choice of broadband service the best bet will be to choose a satellite broadband service. Satellite broadband internet service is the most efficient and highest performing service that you can get for the price. Performing at 500 kbps, you will discover that broadband is the best quality of internet service available.

Not all internet providers offer satellite internet service so you will want to make some phone calls or do some web searching to find it. How valuable can an internet connection be if it does not allow you to enjoy all the benefits that being online has to offer?

It is a great idea to find out about wireless broadband before picking a company to go with. There is always the option of the wonderfully useful satellite broadband.

Do You Think Registry Cleaners Necessary?

There is a lot of controversy over whether registry cleaners are necessary programs for the optimal performance of your personal computer. Some reviewers claim that they will get your sluggish computer back up to speed quickly. Others say that they are completely unnecessary, and can even cause your system to malfunction or crash.

What a registry cleaner is designed to do is scan the registry of your computer for files that are unused, corrupt, fragmented or invalid. It can find virus or malaware entries that you may not be aware of. These files are then either deleted or quarantined. The claim is that you will experience a speedier start up and less problems with how programs run. However, since some of these files may be critical, you must have the ability to do manual removal with any cleaning program.

Using a registry cleaner can be dangerous, according to some experts. It may remove files that are necessary for programs to load or perform properly. It can even cause a full system crash. They state that the best results may be the gain of a few kilobytes of disk space, and maybe a faster start up. However, with the storage and disk space on most computers that is a negligible result. Are these programs just ’snake oil, ‘ as one expert reviewer has stated?

Questions arise about the information that free trials of cleaner give. Possibly, once you have been told you have hundreds of errors in your registry affecting performance, you are going to want to buy the program that can clean that ‘mess’ up. You may just find, instead, that you have now lost some necessary files and the functionality is impaired. You may even find that the computer speed has slowed because the registry has been fragmented.

Keeping your registry clean, program developers claim, will require scheduled maintenance. What they don’t say is that a few orphaned files or extra entries in the registry of your computer will not noticeably affect its functioning. You may even notice that the cleaner has marked and isolated needed files, labeled them as bad, and made them dysfunctional or removed them.

Manual repair or alteration of your registry is a much safer way to go, if you are experiencing a problem. If your computer skills are not up to the task, then go hire an expert, or just leave it. With scant real data behind their claims, you should not trust software programs reviews.

Instead, to avoid problems, install only licensed programs to your system, and keep them up to date. Back up your critical data regularly. Be very cautious about installing and uninstalling trial or beta software programs. Always have a good anti-virus and malaware system running, and keep its files updated. Regularly defragment your system and delete temporary files. Just these simple stems will keep your system cleaner, and you won’t need to consider the dilemma of whether or not to use registry cleaners.

Are you tired of registry cleaners that don’t work and ruin files that are critical? Well, with our program, you won’t have to worry. If you need to know more you need to read our registry cleaners reviewed article.
